Founded by Doni and Baton – veterans of the pizza and pasta world with over 15 years of experience – Il Gusto is built on a foundation of passion and craftsmanship. After helping launch and manage several successful pizza restaurants in the Dayton area, they brought their talent and time-honored recipes to Cincinnati to pursue their own vision of true New York-style quality. The food will knock your socks off. We had spaghetti tomato which came with a small salad and two garlic knots and we had a meatball sub. The portions are very large and well worth the price. Quality is just outrageously high. They make the dough and meatballs fresh on site and it shows. Don’t let the unassuming location fool you, this is top tier food for reasonable prices. We’ll definitely be back. We ate inside and there were no issues with that, it’s clean, but it’s more of a carryout type of spot for sure.

Our first time dining-in, and we were sold! Got the Margherita, and, wow, what a nice change from the usual chains in Cincy area! Crust was crispy, sauce was sweet and the cheese and basil were super fresh. The whole pizza was super fresh, and we didn’t get sick after eating it – real ingredients! Meatballs especially tender and the sauce just makes them even better. Salad with homemade Italian dressing is a must before your main meal. True comfort food!

Ordered in a Large half cheese half pepperoni, a side salad, and pasta with sauce. Garlic knots were unexpected but delicious! Service was outstanding. The owner and workers were super friendly asking to make sure we had everything we needed and if everything was good. I rarely take home left overs, but we had to here!

This place is a little small, but has everything you need! OMG. the pizza is absolutely amazing. I got pineapple and black olives and it was perfectly made. Nive thick crust, perfect amount of sauce and cheese. The toppings were not light at all! Excellent! Here are pictures of our pizza’s…nice open kitchen so you can see everything. We were checked on several times to make sure everything was good. Highly recommend!

The Il gusto special was excellent, the sauce was perfectly seasoned with the perfect, meat to pasta to cheese to sauce ratio. The owner, Ben, is serious about delicious food. All the other customers were loving it as well. I wasn’t able to try the pizza, but damn did it look good. The other two guys Tom and Ben were super friendly with great service. The canolli was fresh and the filling was decadent. 100% will return.

Plenty of years I have only done pasta!!! I have tried 2 pizzas now!!! Best in cinci!!! (Both pasta and pizza) hands down the best!!! Margaharita pizza and meat lovers!!! Their food deserves best in cincinnati!!! And definitely needs a shoutout!!! Give this family owned, pure Italian, small business, and wonderful resturant a go!!!! They need reputation!!!!! Just go!!!!!!! Thank me later!!!!
